VAIO TX37GP/W is incredibly compact and lightweight. Weighing in at 1.25kg and measuring 272.4mm (W) x 21-28.5mm (H) x 195.1mm (D), it is 9% lighter and 16% slimmer than other VAIO T models. In fact, it has the slimmest body (just 21mm at one point), making it the No. 1 slim notebook in the world.* This ultra portability is the result of integrating advanced technologies into one sophisticated notebook PC. By using carbon material in the body, a white LED in the display, and high-density mounting for the system board, VAIO TX37GP/W steps up to the title of ideal mobile notebook.

| VAIO TX37GP/W employs carbon material in the display and bottom cabinets to fortify its strength and durability. The display cabinet uses multi-layered carbon fibre, which is often used in F1 racecars and aircraft and is lighter and stronger than magnesium alloy. Carbon fibres are aligned in the same direction and formed into a sheet. Sheets are then stacked so that each sheet's fibres face different directions. Lastly, this stack of sheets is made into a plate. The resultant carbon plates are extremely strong. VAIO TX37GP/W therefore is 200% more rigid and 30% lighter than VAIO T. As for the bottom cabinet, most of it is made of carbon composite. Several small carbon fibres are mixed into plastic material, a process that allows for 400% more rigidity than other regular plastic cabinets. These exclusive body structures are also responsible for VAIO TX37GP/W's remarkable portability. |

One of the most eye-catching features of VAIO TX37GP/W's shape is its ultra-slim display only 4.5mm thick! This extraordinary thinness comes from the white LED, one of the latest display technologies used in the VAIO TX37GP/W LCD backlight. The trim design of the LED allows the light guide and glass cell to be slimmer. Also, the highly compact LCD system board maintains the lightweight profile and, moved beneath the backlight, requires no extra space: another defining factor in VAIO TX37GP/W's slimness. Though comprising a remarkable 40 LEDs, this is how the LCD module became 45% slimmer and 30% lighter than any VAIO T LCD.
Other unique structural features of the VAIO TX37GP/W LCD make it especially durable. The LCD system board has been shifted below the LCD to simplify internal support and prevent LCD damage. What's more, no screws have been used to attach the LCD to the outer shell. This reduces the possibility of cracks occurring from extreme pressure exerted by screwed parts and panels. And with glass cells shaped into a slim profile, the LCD is now more resistant to shocks and stress. All these structural assets also play a large role in minimising VAIO TX37GP/W's profile. |

| VAIO TX37GP/W has the sophisticated design needed for ultimate portable performance in action. Weighing just 1.25kg and equipped with a 11.1" Wide Clear Bright LCD, this refined notebook is a minimum 21mm in thickness with DVD±RW drive (supporting DVD+R DL disc), due to its ultra high-density miniature motherboard. The 10-layer design comprising a through-hole 6-layer core with double build-up layers on either side enables a mounting density of approximately 93.5% per side. Ultra miniaturised technology allows consolidation of extensive capabilities in one ultra portable PC. |

In the past, when connecting a projector with a notebook PC having a wide screen or higher resolution LCD, you had to twiddle with controls for a few embarrassing moments to match the resolutions of the two machines. No more! With VAIO TX37GP/W, you simply connect and display. VAIO TX37GP/W automatically chooses the proper aspect ratio and maximum resolution that the projector allows* and displays your presentation material accordingly. The aspect ratio of projectors is usually 4:3, while the aspect ratio of VAIO TX37GP/W is 16:9. In the past, you had to manually set up the proper aspect ratio. But the Plug & Display function automatically adjusts the aspect ratio of VAIO (16:9) to the aspect ratio of the projector (4:3). With Plug & Display, there's no fooling with controls just fast, trouble-free professional presentations. Simply connect, and make your presentation with ease!
